AGP Grass transformed an unsightly and unusable tree-lined muddy outdoor area at Worsley Bridge Primary School, using our ‘Endurance 20’ artificial grass and 10 mm cushion pad, to create a mud-free, safe, soft and all-weather outdoor play space and learning environment for its pupils.

The Project

To create a vibrant environment suitable for both outdoor learning and general child play that was safe, soft, durable and functional year round within the 5-6 week summer holidays.

The Area

A 700m2 tree-lined, muddy, redundant grass area with poor drainage and sunlight, rendering it unsuitable for both general school play and outdoor lessons for large periods of the academic year.

Completed

In less than 3- weeks our highly skilled installers transformed the area using our Endurance 20 grass on our standard specification sub-base. In order to complete the installation our installers were required to excavate and dispose of around 90m3 of existing earth and vegetation; install our non-rot plastic perimeter fixation frame into the ground using non-rot plastic stakes; backfill with our standard sub-base, comprising 75mm compacted MOT, 25mm compacted grit sand, 10mm cushion pad and high quality weed membrane; install batch specific 4m wide rolls of Endurance 20 grass to the perimeter fixation frame, seamlessly joined with specialised join tape and adhesive.

We love the result-I was even out there in bare feet the other day as it looked so inviting! We are looking forward to the the second project!
